Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about studying, working and travelling abroad, and about how Nexus Abroad works.
General
Is the first consultation really free?
Yes. Regular consultations for study visas and for general or critical-skills work permits are free. Two services are paid because they involve dedicated time: the job-support package (CV, cover letter and full job-application preparation) and the work-visa consultation for people who want to apply on their own.
Can you guarantee my visa or job?
No, and nobody honest can. Visa and job decisions are made by immigration authorities, universities and employers. What we can promise is careful preparation, clear communication and honest advice about your chances, including when a route is not right for you.
Where are you based, and can I meet you in person?
Our office is in Dhaka and we prefer to meet in person because it makes the conversation easier. If you cannot visit, we also hold consultations online.
Are you licensed?
Yes. Nexus Abroad holds a Bangladeshi licence, and our licence details are shown on our About page and in the website footer.
How long have you been doing this?
We started helping students and workers informally in 2023 and launched formally in 2026. Everyone on our team has personally handled students and workers, so you speak to people with hands-on experience.
Studying abroad
Which countries do you handle for study visas?
Malaysia, the United Kingdom and China. We work with almost all universities in Malaysia, and with strong universities in the other countries.
What does your study service include?
We guide you from start to finish: choosing a course and university, admission, documents, your Statement of Purpose, the visa application, interview preparation, accommodation help, flight booking help and a pre-departure briefing. We can also help with family and dependent visas where the rules allow. We do not provide sponsor support for study visas.
Do I need IELTS to study abroad?
It depends on the country, university and course. Some universities accept alternatives or offer pathway programmes. Tell us your situation in the consultation and we will check what applies to you.
Can my family come with me?
Rules differ by country and course. For example, the UK only allows dependants for certain students, such as some research-based postgraduates and government-sponsored students. We confirm the current rules for your exact case in the consultation.
Working abroad
Do you find jobs for me?
We connect candidates with employers where roles are available and guide you through the application process. We cannot promise a job offer. Employers make their own hiring decisions.
How does your work visa service work?
You book a session with us. We explain which permit suits you, which websites and employers to approach, and what you need to prepare. If you want full support, our job-support package prepares your CV and cover letter and gets you ready to apply.
Can I apply for a work visa on my own?
Yes. If you prefer to apply yourself, our work-visa consultation gives you a focused session with a senior member of our business development team. This is a paid session because it is dedicated advice only.
Which work visas do you cover?
UK work routes, Ireland (Critical Skills and General Employment Permits), New Zealand skilled work permits, Seychelles work permits, Belgium work permits, Germany’s Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte), Sweden’s job-seeker visa and Malaysia employment visas.
Tourist visas
Which tourist visas can you help with?
Schengen tourist visas, and tourist visas for Thailand, China, Malaysia and India. Tell us your travel plan and we will explain what to prepare.
Booking and privacy
How do I book a consultation?
Use the booking form on this site, message us on WhatsApp, or visit our Dhaka office. You do not need to pay anything online to book.
What should I bring to my first consultation?
Your passport, academic certificates and transcripts, an updated CV, any IELTS or English test result, and a list of your questions. If you do not have everything yet, come anyway. We will tell you what to collect.
What happens to my information?
We use your details only to contact you about your enquiry and to prepare your case. We do not sell or share them without permission. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
What if my visa is refused?
We will go through the refusal reasons with you honestly and explain your possible next steps. The details of our service terms are shared in your agreement before you begin.
Your first consultation is free.
Sit down with us in Dhaka or talk online. We will look at your profile honestly and explain your real options, with no pressure and no promises we cannot keep.
