Work in the United Kingdom
The Skilled Worker route and other UK work visas, explained clearly. We help you understand where you stand and connect you with sponsor employers where roles are available.
To work in the UK on a Skilled Worker visa you need a job offer from a licensed sponsor, a job at the right skill level, English ability and the right salary. It is a demanding route, but people with the right profile and a good employer connection do succeed.
Who this route suits
- Graduate-level professionals with relevant experience
- Healthcare professionals such as doctors and nurses (the Health and Care Worker route)
- People with a job offer from a licensed sponsor

How the Skilled Worker route works
- Check your eligibility. Your occupation, qualifications, English and salary expectations all matter.
- Prepare a strong, honest CV and cover letter.

- Receive a Certificate of Sponsorship from the employer.
- Apply for the visa with your documents, English evidence and, where required, a tuberculosis test.

Honest note: Overseas recruitment into care worker roles has closed to new applicants since July 2025, so we cannot offer that route. For other occupations, rules on skill level, salary and English changed recently and continue to evolve. We always check the latest position for your case. We cannot promise a job offer or visa. Employers and immigration authorities make those decisions.
